Mr. Thompson has 20 years of experience in marketing, sales and project management within the renewable energy and utility industries. Currently, as Vice President for Energy Nevada LLC, he manages outreach, marketing and projects activities.

In his early career, Mr. Thompson spent 5 years in the trenches as an engineering sales rep for solar, heavy equipment and engineering software companies, and was a consistent top seller.

He grew an international sales base through direct industry outreach and analytical/educational projects in electric utility finance. As an Asia Foundation Research Fellow in 1994, he managed a study of electric utility economics and finance in Indonesia, documenting the false economy of nuclear energy and identifying more cost-effective power generation methods.

Mr. Thompson brings a valuable combination of technical and industry knowledge of the renewable energy and utility sectors with strong skills in project management and business/marketing systems. He has consulted in market development for Northern Power Systems (turbines), Fenway Systems (windturbine controls), Green Mountain Energy (solar sales channels), United Innovations (hi-tech solar markets), SolarFlex Technologies, Environmental Resources Trust and UtilityGuide.com.
